Summer School FAQ
• Are ECTS points awarded?
Each participant will receive a course certificate with a course description and the number of contact hours. It will be up to each student’s academic institution to assign ECTS credits accordingly, taking into consideration each participant’s previous course work and institutional ECTS rules. Aarhus University awards 1 ECTS point per approx. 10 contact hours, provided they do not replicate previous coursework.
The summer school will consist of approx. 30 contact hours.
• Are there any prerequisites for participation?
There is no formal selection process for participation. However, to fully benefit from the course, participants need to have basic-to-intermediate level of knowledge in epidemiology and biostatistics.
• Are the course sessions offered individually?
The summer school course is offered as a unit and it is only possible to register for the entire program.
• Will I need to install software on my computer?
Yes, you will need to install a STATA license on your laptop before class. A free short-term STATA license will be provided to participants.
